My first day to class...not very impressive;(

First ceramic project . We had to build a vase using coils. It was an interesting start to the class. Simple but fun!

I carved and glazed it . This is how it looks after it came out of the kiln. It was heated in the kiln for a couple of days.

My second project: jewelry box (base and top) before it got fired in the kiln

My jewelry box ! the colors came out real nice after it was fired in the kiln

My third project: This one is my favorite one. I think i improved a lot from my other projects. ;)

Finally done! Out of the Kiln
Practice makes perfect...or almost perfect...hopefully!

The Glaze lab

This is my fourth project. It cracked and i had a hard time patching it up coz it got really hard.
Still Working on it..

My tea cups with saucer after its been glazed and kilned
One of the best summer class i've ever had.. I made few plates that are getting ready to be fired. Having a hand made ceramic object from which to enjoy a meal, gives time for contemplation and respite from everyday pressures. In an age of fast food and disposable containers, the hand made ceramic object offers individuality and a connection with the earth, from which it is created.
